Afraid of Shopping Online? This guide will help

The Government has banned Polythene bags for the pollution they cause. Now, the shoppers have started using Jute bags instead of them! Cool, right? Well, that's cool, but what's not cool is that you can still find many guys buying products from Stores in the Market. Yes, that's a Good Exercise, but what most of them don't know is that they could get the same product for a Great discount Online! At the same time, we got people who even after knowing that won't shop online thinking that it's not "SAFE." Frankly, even I was one of them. Thus, I am writing this post for such people in the society in order to guide them through while they shop online.

These are some tips you must follow while you shop online-
1. Think before you shop
Familiar with the proverb, "Think before you leap"? Well, while hopping you must think too! Nowadays, most e-mail accounts are filled with offers from various Sopping Portals? Which ones to click and which ones to say, "Hell No!" to. I can help you here. Just follow as I tell you. Each time, you receive a mail from these portals, just record their Web Address. Then, we will try to know if they are legit or just another Scam. But, how? Good question! Just google the web address with words like - Scam or Legit with them. There, you can find reviews on these Portals which will help you decide. For eg:- if you want to check if 100BestBuy is legit, just google "100bestbuy scam" or "100bestbuy legit." For the record, I would suggest not to buy from 100bestbuy.

2. Original or Duplicate?
I remember having bought an N82 off the Internet and only after it reached me did I know that it was a Clone! Just lost another 5 Grands from my Account! I don't want you guys to fall for the same trap. Guys, before buying a Product, always check its specifications, features, item condition (New or second hand). If you have any doubts on the product, just ask the Seller. Note that not every Portal provides an option to ask the seller. You can find these options in Websites like eBay.

3. How to pay?
This completely depends on you. Websites offer many ways to pay for a Product you buy from them. For eg:- Credit Cards, Online Bank Transfer, PayPal, Cash on Delivery (COD). While buying with a Credit Card or using Online Bank Transfer, make sure that you have a stable Internet Connection. PayPal and COD can be considered safe. If you are not mush sure, use COD.

4. Shopping International?
Does your son need a PlayStation 3? Let me narrate the story now. You check Indian websites like eBay.in. Ooh! Too costly. Now, you search on eBay International and find a much affordable one. You click on Buy Now. At the last step, this is where I jump in - "the Superhero is here to save you!! "Just kidding! You must take care that when you buy products internationally, there might be a Customs Charge, which is different in different countries. Check for your Customs Rates locally. Keeping this in mind, eBay.in has introduced a new service wherein Indians can buy some selected products from International sellers without paying any Extra Charge like Customs Duties.
